Biography

NativSoul currently lives in UK has been involved in music ever since the mid 90s, former backing vocalist and rapper back then. He grew up following rap, new jack swing, soul, garage, reggae you name it. He then became a Dj since the beginning of the new millennium dropping those deep vibes in and around Johannesburg and Pretoria underground scene. House music has always been his speciality with influences from local South African scene and abroad, his long-time admiration of house music pioneers such as Frankie Knuckles, Tod Terry, Larry Head, and Masters at work, Franck Roger and so on gave him the courage and motivation to pursue his musical carrier. Nativ has released a few underground EPs this includes ‘The Khoisan Village’ which features a master class ‘Desert sun remix’. Nativ thinks of this of house music as a synergy that brings people together allowing different elements and influences to create a feel for his music. Currently Nativ records under a label called Kalahari-records found by him and his dream leaves on.
