- BAZOOKA -The name alone already tells you what to expect when you hear his Music. Something Intense! Bass in your Face! Aural Carnage...

Ralf Ferley aka Bazooka is a Musician, Producer, DJ, Graphic Artist, MultiMedia Designer and Audio Engineer who produces in various hard and not just electronic styles. He always follows his intuition and gut feelings, and lets his heart decide what to produce instead of walking down "easy street". Going the "hard way" makes his Tunes sound different and unique. Bazooka is a true scientist of sound, twisting and turning samples and musical genres of any kind until the music becomes something of his own. Bazooka hits the target, due to a passion for that special sound that his listeners share.

Bazooka is around since 1995 when it all started in a little apartment, terrorizing neighbors with his early tunes. He started out as Gabber DJ, released his first 12 inch vinyl in '95 on the German Label "Shockwave Recordings" and continued releasing, also under his alias "Aggroman" on the Dutch Labels Mokum and Fukem Records. Bazooka never called his music “Gabber”, though. Instead of producing cheesy tunes, Bazooka wasn't only much faster. Already by 1996, he incorporated elements of Hip Hop, Breakbeats and Metal Guitars at 280 BPM!

Born in the Ruhr Area in West Germany, an industrial urban area of the larger Rhine-Ruhr Metropolitan Region, he produced his first Records there but quickly decided to leave the area and moved on to Germany's Capital – Berlin. Active as sound designer for a local software firm on the side, he transcended his roots, advanced his skills, and found himself in the Drum & Bass Genre. No longer bound to simplistic "Four to the Floor" productions, Bazooka experimented more and more with new sounds and styles. Passing by Breakcore quickly, he treaded where conventional producers dared not go, combining Drum & Bass and Death Metal. Passion for the liberating fun of C64 and 8-bit sounds and the soul-wrenching power of Death Metal guitars drive his approach that evolved into his "trademark" sound.

He started his Label "Aural-Carnage Recordings" in 2004 as a "Hardcore Drum & Bass" Label for experimental Broken Beat Music, where he continued fusing Metal Guitars, Breakbeats, distorted Gabber Kickdrums, Hip Hop / Reggae Elements, and huge, HUUUGE Basslines in his Productions. In addition, on every single release, Bazooka did the artwork himself, mostly based on Graffiti designs by close allies (hello Fuse27). He fused his music with his artwork into a unique identity and design, with mostly yellow and black colors, which signals "DANGER!!!" to your brain. In 2006 he joined the "Berzerker U.K. Tour" through England, Ireland and Scotland with "The Berzerker", a close friend and Grindcore Metal Band from Australia, and spun the Wheels of Steel live between the Metal Bands on Stage – a radical approach in this genre that stunned Metalheads in a jaw-dropping way.

Bazooka DJ'ed all around the world: Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Holland, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom but also outside of Europe, in Australia, Canada and the USA.

In 2006 "Sub-Carnage Recordings" was formed as a SUB-Label of "Aural-Carnage Recordings" - surely the term SUB wasn’t chosen by accident! It represents the slower Music Genre "Dubstep", where he released under his alias "Deleta". For Bazooka, Dubstep is very similar to Drum & Bass and equally allowed him to inject fresh ideas in new way. His version of Dubstep is far from monotone, instead, his "Steppas" are complex and fiercely broken. "R.O.B.O.T.", his first Techsteppin' Dubstep Track was produced in 2006 and released on a 10" Vinyl as Sub-Carnage 01.

Since then he has continued producing, and in fact completed far more Dubstep than D&B tunes lately. For Bazooka, Dubstep had a similar impact as Hardcore in 1991 and Jungle in 1994. The style inspires him to try out new and fresh things no one has ever done before: join, merge, fuse, sample - everything - create "THE NEWS!" your own.

NOW - the Year is 2010, already 15 Years have past and Bazooka finally finished his first complete full-length CD-album "AntiHero". It uses a wide spectrum of elements from various musical styles, including Classical music, orchestral choirs, Death Metal, 8-Bit Arcade Chip Tunes, Movie Scores, Ragga / Hip Hop, acapellas fused with Drum & Bass and Dubstep...

Impossible, you say? Let's go for the ride: 15 Years, 15 Tunes, nearly 80 minutes of Aural Carnage, to be released soon. Tune in, Turn on, go Bazooka!
