Chris Swinney

Chris Swinney was born in the far north of England, close to Berwick-upon-Tweed, Northumberland.

He grew up in the mining village of Shilbottle and around the age of twelve, became very interested in The Beatles. It wasn't long before he had his first guitar and was working through The Beatles Complete Songbook!

By his mid-teens, he was playing solo gigs around his local pubs and clubs, mainly performing covers of songs by his favourite artists. In later years he was lead vocalist in various bands, but with the advent of more affordable recording equipment in the mid-1980s, he decided to concentrate on writing and recording his own songs.

Chris has independently released four albums and is currently working on his fifth. He is also providing music and lyrics for two other music projects.
