Biography

Dark Ages is a loud Metal act from Malmö, Sweden formed by Jay Sharon (ex member of Virgin Sin) & Peter Alpenborg as a studio project back in 1995. From the beginning the music was all about dark and heavy Doom/Death metal and soon there was a couple of Demos recorded. In late 1997 the band participated on a compilation CD (Mortal Coil - Eat The Evidence # 2) with the song "Conviction" released and distributed by Mortal Coil Records in NY, U.S.A. - A compilation Cd that was distributed in 8 different countries. In 1998 Peter left the band for his own project and Jay was strugglin'on with Dark Ages, still as a project. In 1999 Fredrik Illes (Drums) and Steve "Dagon" Van Rose (Vocals - Former of Virgin Sin) joined the Dark Ages Project wich also change their musical direction more into Metal / Heavymetal and soon there was a few demo recordings released. Today Dark Ages is still goin'on as a studioproject ruled by Jay Sharon as the only member of the band / project since Steve moved to U.S.A and Fredrik leaved Sweden for England.
