Biography

Dark Ages is a loud Metal act from Malmö, Sweden formed by Johan Karlsson (A.k.a Jay Sharon, ex member of Virgin Sin) & Peter Alpenborg as a studio project back in 1995. From the beginning the music was all about dark and heavy Doom/Death metal and soon there was a couple of Demos recorded. In late 1997 the band participated on a compilation CD (Mortal Coil - Eat The Evidence # 2) with the song "Conviction" released and distributed by Mortal Coil Records in NY, U.S.A. - A compilation Cd that was distributed in 8 different countries. In 1998 Peter left the band for his own project and Jay was strugglin'on with Dark Ages, still as a project. Through the years1999 - 2001 Dark Ages had a few different line-ups of the band/project but in late 2003 it all ended up with a big break as a band & project. Jay was doin' anything but music untill the end of 2010 then he realized that music is & should be a part of his life but tired of struggelin' with members that was'nt ready to go for it 100% he decided to do it all by him self - Said and done Dark Ages was reborned and put out the Ep "Minds Eye" & The Album "Valley Of Death" as mp3downloads in 2011 just to start the new era of Dark Ages. Jay also put out the Demo "Temple Of Death" as a download Ep the same year. In 2012 Dark Ages released the Ep "Dark Ages" which contains 2 brand new songs. Up to date - Dark Ages / Jay is working on new songs and a new album so keep your eyes & ears open for a soon coming release ! But till then enjoy Dark Ages music here or visit:
