This song is my tribute to one of the best bands in the 70-80:thies Thin Lizzy. They meant a lot to me during my days as a teenager and still influences me. Phil Lynott is one of my greatest heros. Hope you´re doing fine up in heaven.

He was a boy from Mexico, just an orphan with nowhere to go.

He tried to stay out of trouble, but the violence was everywhere.

He heard some gunshots in the darkest of nights,

Someone killing for a powder that is white. In the part of this world

a life just ain´t worth that much. He had to run now, just didn't know how.

How to flee, to the American dream.

Run run from the slaughter, run run to the hills.

Run run to the border if you can. If you run out of water,

If you live in despair, run run to the border if you can.

So he jumped on a northbound train, took a risk but he went just the same.

He had nothing to lose, he had no one who cared for him.

When he reached to the barb wired fence, he had lost all his common

sence. In the sun he had struggled but now he was all to weak.

Gizmo Carismo

Autodidact swedish musician. Originally a drummer who has been a member of different bands from Sweden but since 2009 he is on his own playing his own songs. Giz plays all the instruments on each track. He also collaborates with brilliant guitarplayer and friend Thomas Haag under the projectname Haag & Carismo.
