Whoever said Amapiano wouldn’t be strong this year. The genre has blown minds and still dominated the charts and the airwaves. Shout out to everyone who has contributed to its growth. Now, here’s a list of 10 Amapiano hits that have rocked the country this year.

1. eMcimbini

Undeniably one of the biggest songs of 2020, the Scorpion Kings won the jackpot with this one. Its credits include Kabza De Small, DJ Maphorisa, Samthing Soweto, Mas Musiq, Aymos and Myztro. The song claimed the beginning of the year, and even went beyond the shores of Mzansi.

2. Sponono

Kabza De Small was truly one of the biggest winners on the scene this year. Months back, the Amapiano king dropped his album “I Am The King Of Amapiano: Sweet & Dust” and it became a massive success. On this massive hit song, he features Burna Boy, Wizkid, Cassper Nyovest & Madumane.

3. Amanikiniki

There is always a party everytime MFR Souls drops a new song in the airwaves. The talented duo turned heads recently with the release of their hit song “Amanikiniki” which fast became a success. It features contributions from the Major League Djz, Kamo Mphela and of course, Bontle Smith.

4. Gabadiya

Semi Tee has become one of the biggest contributors to the Amapiano genre. He previously delivered his debut album. He also claimed the airwaves months back when he dropped “Gabadiya”. The song fast racked up a million views on YouTube. It features contributions from Miano, Kammu Dee and Ora Dee.

You could call this song what every woman needs to feel good. Moonchild Sanelly has been quite appreciative of her body, and she certainly got Mzansi women to love their body with this song. The song even inspired the body positivity challenge #ThunderThighsChallenge. Of course, a lot of women loved that.

A while back, Samthing Soweto blessed the airwaves with his album “Isisphithipithi”. “Akulaleki” was undeniably one of the best songs on the project. It features Kabza De Small, DJ Maphorisa and Sha Sha. In less than 2 months, it racked up a million views on YouTube alone. It was a massive hit.

One of the year’s most consistent contributors, Jobe London and Mphow_69 really had fans in a tight grip when they dropped “Sukendleleni”. The song became a big success and took over the airwaves. It was always playing somewhere. It was also very successful on the radio and even on the charts.
