Ayesem Biography

Stephen Kwabena Siaw  popularly known by her stage name Ayesem is a prolific singer, songwriter and performer in Ghana. His genre of music is Hip-hop and Hiplife which he performs both in his native language and English. Ayesem has performed on world stage with top African and international artistes like Castro, Old Solja, Kurl Songx, Kofi Kinaata. He is one of the best Hip-hop/Hiplife artistes in Ghana. He is popularly known for his song Koti. He is currently signed to Shocks Entertainment.

Ayesem was born and raised in Takoradi, a town in the Western Region of Ghana. He has three siblings. Ayesem finished his secondary school education at Ghana Secondary Technical School . He later proceeded to study Purchasing and Supply at the Takoradi Polytechnic, graduating with a Higher National Diploma in 2013. Music for him started at High school level and led to him joining a pop group.

Ayesem is not romantically involved with anyone at the moment but he once rightly stated that he was ready to get married if he saw the right person that met his features.

Ayesem’s breakthrough came when he released his hit song “Koti” this song received so much audience acceptance that it eventually won him an award. Although he started his career as amember of a group called “Trinity”” in 2006. He later formed a music group called ‘2Unit’ with fellow musician, Nero X. As a group their songs received massive radio airplay in the Western and Central Region of Ghana. After going for a talent show and coming out as the first runner up he decided to go as a solo artiste and since then he has released hit songs and thus the name Ayesem became a household name.

Ayesem since his debut has released hit songs like Koti, Envy,Fante ne me ka, Against just to mention a few.He has also released major albums that have become sold out since the time of his debut. This is one artiste that has carved a niche for himself in the entertainment industry.

Ayesem since debuting has won himself various awards both in Ghana and International, among this is the Ghana music awards. He has also gotten various nominations for his work. Ayesem has gotten himself endorsement deals from top brands both in Ghana and Internationally. He has also collaborated with top artistes around the World
