Tshedza Pictures has unveiled the stunning cast of their upcoming telenovela, “Champions.”
Through the years, Tshedza Pictures has been responsible for some of the biggest and most talked-about shows in the country. The famous production house has been behind hit TV shows like ‘The River,’ ‘Outlaws,’ ‘Adulting,’ and ‘Gqeberha: The Empire’. They are set to add to that list with the upcoming show to dominate screens soon.
The plot of the series is written on the DStv official page as this;
“In a world where the turf is tough and the stakes are high, Sne Modise (played by Joanne Reyneke) is a symbol of resilience and ambition in a male-dominated soccer empire. While battling the intense drama as the underdog, Sne stands at the top, determined to challenge the gender norms and lead the Soshanguve Giants F.C. to success. But the question remains: Can she come out on top?”
The upcoming show will reportedly feature well-known actors who have earned acclaim for their performances on the screen and some up-comers who are set to make their mark in the industry.
IOL reports that, while speaking about the upcoming show, Executive producer Phathutshedzo Makwarela said it “uniquely embodies the spirit of South Africa, aiming to inspire and excite our audience.”
Makwarela said, “It’s a celebration of ambition, positivity, and the resilience of our people. Tshedza Pictures is thrilled to collaborate again with Mzansi Magic, and we eagerly anticipate the moment our viewers will join us on this incredible journey.”
Here are the cast of the show;
Sello Maake ka-Ncube (known for his work in ’The Queen’) will play Washington Modise, “A former player-turned-entrepreneur, Washington breathed life into his own football team, Soshanguve Giants FC, steering it with a mix of shrewd business sense and a deep love for the game.
