2020 is coming to a close, and MTV Base South Africa has treated the Rainbow Nation to a list of the hottest MCs in 2020. The list contains some of the music industry’s notable voices, from Nasty C to Cassper Nyovest.
One thing one cannot miss about the list is that it is almost exclusively populated by hip hop artistes. One may as well call it a list of some of the hottest hip hop artistes in South Africa in 2020. Either way, we have a list.
Also, the artistes who made the MTV Base South Africa hottest MC list in 2020 released at least one project this year, most of them chart- toppers. Think Nasty C’s “Zulu Man With Some Power” album and Cassper Nyovest’s “Any Mi9nute Now (AMN)” album…

The list is currently generating mixed reactions in Mzansi. Some social media denizens are of the view that the boy band Blaq Diamond should have made the list. Someone even expressed surprise that Busiswa made the cut… Apparently to each his favourites
