The trophy for the event was sponsored by rapper, JR, and commentator, Mpho Letsholonyane called it a “great match indeed”. Viewers noted that there was no dull moment from the beginning of the match until it ended. They also hailed AKA and Sho Madjozi who were basically the most talked about players of the event.

Sho Madjozi Representing The Ladies

Viewers were elated seeing Sho as the only woman in the Hip Hop team. Of course, she earned her place there. Her entrance into the field has been considered one of the major highlights of the evening. Viewers noted that the commentators also made it quite memorable. Before joining the match, Shocould be heard saying “what’s going on?” “Who is this?” “Is this Sho Madjozi? what does she want here?“. She also did not disappoint as she let her “Limpopo Champions League” side dominate evening.

AKAPogba Vs AKA Moment

AKA, on the other hand, earned himself the title of the night’s “Man Of The Match”. We had no idea he was such a talented player. The “Cross My Heart” star turned out to be a sight to behold during the match, where he showed off some of his enviable skills.

Hip Hop fans went nuts when he scored a penalty. This earned him the title “AKAPogba”. The hashtag #AKAPogba trended on Twitter alongside #MaskandiVShiphop. The “Energy” star also gave a perfect assist which left viewers feeling like the Hip Hop scene is not his entire calling. Social media was flooded with reactions to his performance during the entire match; something worth viewing.

Sjava Displayed His Footbal Skills

Sjava, an ex-football player, also did not disappoint. Viewers noted that he had not lost touch since joining the music industry. The “Linda” rapper was previously a player for the Tiger Boys at Zone 14. He let that side of him show from the beginning of the match until it ended.

Kwesta Lost A Penalty Shootout

Following a 2 goals score for both sides, the match was moved to a penalty shootout. Hearts sank when Kwesta lost a penalty. Fortunately for Hip Hop fans.

Donald For The Rescue

Donald came around to save the evening. The talented singer was another much talked about person. You could as well call him the saviour Hip Hop needed. He blew minds when he scored the penalty giving SA Hip Hop scene the goal they needed to take home the trophy.
