Orlando Pirates: Latest Signings, Current Players & Recent Transfers

Pirates. A lot comes to mind from the mention of the name alone. For some, it is thieves on the high seas, and for others, it is the confraternity founded by Nigerian Nobel Laureate Wole Soyinka. Well, we have neither in mind here.

The focus is the South African football club Orlando Pirates. They have nothing to do with cultism, nor do they have anything to do with the seas. Their turf is the football pitch, and they have long distinguished themselves as a club.

Founded in 1937, Orlando Pirates Football Club is easily one of South Africa’s oldest clubs, and it has continued to evolve since its founding. The club, which plays in the Nedbank Cup and Telkom Knockout leagues, currently has Irvin Khoza as chairman and Jose Riveiro as manager.

Compared to other clubs in the same league, it might be said that Orlando Pirates have had a pretty good year, and the club continues to show that it is not only deeply involved in the game but is prepared to touch up several aspects of the team to ensure the best performance.

This brings us to a lot, including the club’s latest Signings, current players, and recent transfers.

Latest Signings

Since its founding, Orlando Pirates have signed many players and transferred others, some of whom are no longer active – retired and living, or dead. the club’s most recent signings took place earlier this December.

In an official announcement ahead of the Premier Soccer League resumption, it informed the football community of the signing of Craig Martin from Cape Town City and Ndumiso Mabena, who happens to be a free agent.

The one is 29 and the other is 35, so it might be that coach is looking for experience.
