M.I Abaga Biography

No doubt Nigerian rapper M.I Abaga is one of the greatest rappers in the Nigerian music industry, from his lyrical flow to his ability to work on other upcoming artist to become stars.

Jude Abaga popularly known by his stage name  M.I Abaga, is a Prolific Rapper, songwriter and producer in Nigeria.  He once took his career to a topnotch when he was announced as the CEO of Chocolate City in 2015. He  has won himself several awards and recognition including the MTV Africa music awards.

M.I caught our attention in 2006 when he released the “Crowd Mentality” track which first was a hit  in his hometown Jos. M.I later teamed up with his brother Jesse Jagz, Ice Prince, Ruby, Threadstone, Lindsay, Moses (Elbulk),E kelly to form Loopy Music.

M.I was later signed to the Chocolate City company. He has also gotten a lot of ambassadorial role with top brands since his debut into the musical industry. MI who recently got into a rap diss with Nigerian Rapper vector has over time showed us that he is capable of getting us stuck to his lyrical flow.

With albums like Talk About It (2008),MI 2: The Movie (2010),The Chairman (2014), A Study On Self Worth: Yxng Dxnzl (2018) he has shown us there is no stopping his flow. Here are the best songs by M.I Abaga.

This song saw M.I take a shot at his fellow colleagues in the rap industry. In the song he urged them to fix their lives, stop the hate , so that their popularity will grow as hate seems to be eating up the industry.

The song over its time of release has received so many backlash as they feel he was being judgmental and was guilty of the things he rapped about, but M.I still maintained the song was to inspire them.

People initially thought the song was about his blood brother Jesse jags alone but he later corrected the notion and said it was about his record label mates whom he saw as his brothers which happens to include is blood brother Jess.

This song by M.I is a comical ballad to the slay queens living in a popular influential place in Lagos called Lekki. This song features Nigerian rapper Falz, Ajebutter22 and Odunsi.

The song is a track off his Rendezvous album. The song saw them talk about the slay queens and their unperturbed love for Lekki even with the incessant flooding of the area, narrating how vain they are.
