On both the charts and the airwaves, SA House prevails with all the amazing music that are created and added to the genre by the day. Of course, House music accounts for a huge percentage of the songs on the airwaves.

Some Mzansi House artistes (vocalists and Disc Jockeys included) stand out from the rest for their constant contributions to the success of the genre. From Prince Kaybee to the legendary Oskido and the iconic Mi Casa, SA House is championed by the best in the industry.

10. UHURU

Literally everyone in Mzansi loves them some Uhuru. The group which debuted on the scene back in 2012 has been making amazing music for their fans to enjoy ever since. With hits like “Khona” with Mafikizolo, “The Sound” with Nigerian singer, Davido, and more, they have made their presence felt in all of Mzansi.

9. LADY ZAMAR

If you’re a lover of SA House and you do not know a song by vocalist, Lady Zamar, then you haven’t really paid attention. She is known for many successful collaborations and hits including “Collide”, “This Is Love”, “Charlotte” with Prince Kaybee and more. She’s also been nominated for a ton of awards and continues to prove herself everytime.

8. MASTER KG

This guy may as well be everyone’s secret crush. His style of music is quite different from everyone else’s and also well appreciated. Probably the youngest person on this list, Master KG has worked hard to be one of the best House acts in the country. His current hit “Jerusalema” featuring Nomcebo would vouch for him. He is also known for the global jam, “Skeleton Move” with Zanda Zakuza.

7. PRINCE KAYBEE

The ladies must swoon everytime this guy takes to the stand. It took him sometime to get the platform he deserves, but it is amazing to see what he has done for himself since he got it. His most recent hit “Uwrongo” with Ami Faku and Black Motion has literally changed the game. The list of his hits is just endless, from “Charlotte”, “Fetch Your Life”, to “Gugulethu”, “Banomoya” and more, Prince Kaybee has done massively well for himself and the genre.

6. MAFIKIZOLO

Mzansi’s favourite duo, Mafikizolo is always on point. They once held the entire continent in a tight grip when they released the game changing hit “Khona” with Uhuru. They have since continued to build are beautiful legacy all over SA. “Ngeke Balunge” is their most recent song to do exceedingly well.

5. MI CASA

Mi Casa makes us proud that they exist everytime. The trio has been around for a while and even collaborated with the best in the game. They have delivered hits including “Jika”, “Your Body”, “Nana”, and lots more. They are not slowing down as they even have bigger plans for this year and have been dropping good music already.

4. DJ SBU

To say we love DJ Sbu is a huge understatement. We totally adore him. His smile is everything, it makes us feel like his music is from a really happy place. You would know him for various joints including “MoFaya” which is also his drink, and various other musical projects that have literally changed the game.

3. DJ ZINHLE

In our opinion, this fierce lady deserves a Forbes plaque everyday. She first stole the show years back when she dropped “My Name Is” featuring Busiswa. Now she has delivered massive hits like “Umlilo” ft. Mvzzle and Rethabile, and the most recent chart-topper, “Go” with Dr Duda and Lucille Slade.

2. OSKIDO

Oskido is king. You can say that a thousand times and it still wouldn’t sound wrong. With other 25 years in the game, the popular hit maker is still going strong and dropping hits like rain. House music is lucky to have such a genius. He is known for various hits including the most recent “Dlala Piano” featuring Winnie Khumalo, “Bayathetha” featuring Zonke, and successful mixes that we love with all our hearts.

1. BLACK COFFEE

Have you ever wondered what it would feel like to be Black Coffee? To have a massive fanbase and celebrity admirers including both local and international must be the coolest thing ever. The talented disc jockey has not only made the country proud with his exploits but House music as well. He has dropped hits including “Lalala” with American singer, Usher, and various successful mixes. He is the pride of SA House music.
