Wande Coal Biography

Our focus today shifts to the Black diamond himself and Ex Mavin records member Wande coal. Wande is a soft Nigerian Singer. His kind of music can be classified under Afro-beats.

Wande Coal got his break in the Nigerian entertainment industry as a dancer. He got signed to Don Jazzy’s Mo’ Hits Records in 2006.

He featured on D’banj’s Rundown/Funk you up album on singles such as “Loke”etc . Being signed to Mo’ Hits records he is also a member of the Mo’ Hits all-stars and played a major role in the released CV (Curriculum Vitae) album. Wande Coal later released his debut album Mushin To Mo’Hits which was widely received across Nigeria, UK and the USA.

Wande Coal has also recorded tracks with other Nigerian artists including ikechukwu, Naeto C, Dr SID, D’Prince, Wizkid and many other artists. In 2012 following a fallout between record label Executives Don Jazzy and D’banj, Coal, Dr SID and D’Prince signed on to Don Jazzy’s new Record Label Mavin Records with the addition of Tiwa Savage acting as the first lady of mavin records.

Wande Coal left Mavin Records in 2013 and started his own record label. With compilation albums like Curriculum Vitae (2007), Solar Plexus(2012) and personals like Mushin To Mo’hits (2009), Wanted (2015), Wande coal has proved he is a musician that would keep on dropping hits upon hits and has managed to stay relevant in the Music Industry.

1. BUMPA TO BUMPA
This club hit from Wande Coal was one of the song that rose him to major lime-lite in the music Industry. The song was the 8th track on the Mushin to Mo’hits  2019 album produced by Don Jazzy under the defunct Mo’hits record label which had artistes like D’banj on the forefront.

In the song Wande Coal talked about his growth from the streets of Mushin to getting signed by a record label and urged people to follow his growth.

This song by Wande Coal features DJ Tunez . This dance-able tune did a good job of featuring on major charts in the country and enjoyed massive airplay on TV and radio.

The song by Wande Coal saw him link up with British-Ghanaian producer Juls, who’s been dropping steady jams himself off his recent Ojekoo EP.

The song “So Mi So,” is built on an addictive guitar riff and syncopated beat work that’ll have you hooked. But, as always, it’s Wande Coal’s undeniable vocal delivery that seals the deal.

This is a love song by Wande Coal. The song saw him serenade his love interest, in which he arrived at the conclusion that she is a superwoman.

The song which is a third track off his “Wanted” album in 2015 has received massive airplay upon its release. The visual of the song directed by Moe Musa centers around a man who will do anything to keep his mate (even the illegal), because she is his superwoman.

This club hit  song by Wande Coal saw him talk about his friend who are surrounded by affluence and are in turn referred to as ballerz.

The song was released under his “Black Diamond Entertainment” record label and was produced by Maleek Berry.

6. ASIMAPEYIN
This song by Wande Coal is a dance-able tune which he released under his “Black Diamond Entertainment” record label.  “Ashimapeyin”, meaning ”we will call you” or even worse “Ko ti Kan yi”- “its not your turn, yet.”

The certified hit was produced by hitmaker Sarz. Wande Coal believes the  song “Ashimapeyin” which translates to ”we will call you” is  a guaranteed street anthem.
