Logging In
It is quite easy to log into your account. You must first access the uFiling website to do this, and input your username and password into the checkin box and submit. If you’re having issues remembering your password, simply click the “forgot your password” link beneath the login boxes.
You would be required to select a preferred contact (Email or SMS). You would also be required to input your ID or Passport number, and your Username (Hopefully you wouldn’t have forgotten this too). You can then choose to either “Reset Your Password” or “Receive Your Password Hint”. And then submit. You will be contacted with the info you selected.
How To Check Your Status Online
This is easy as ABC. Just follow the steps below.
- Visit the uFiling website
- Next, click on the “Check My Status” icon.
- Be careful the follow all the instructions as they appear on the screen.
- Find the box, and enter the Captcha number displayed on the screen.
- Next, proceed to enter your UIF Reference Number.
In case this is a bit too much for you, you can always do it differently.
- Simply send an email to Online.BCP@labour.gov.za
- Also in the following in the email; your name, identification, and your UIF Registration Number
- You will get a reply showing the status you require.

Of course, you would need to access the UIF centres to make enquiries or lay complaints. First remember that their operating hours are from 07:30 – 16:00 from Mondays to Fridays.
