Ama Serwah Genfi, who is now famous by the stage name Amaarae, is a Ghanaian singer and songwriter. Born in New York to Ghanaian parents, the songstress discovered music early, and embraced it.

Her first musical release was as a teenager. But she has so advanced in her music that she has had several international collaborations, including one Cruel Santino, Stonebwoy, and with Nigeria’s Wande Coal (on the song “Spend Some Time”).

In 2018, she was named Apple Music’s Favourite New Artist.

Before her Apple Music triumph, in 2017, she had released her debut EP entitled “Passionfruit Summers.” That body of work still resonates to this day. The songstress has released several other songs since, but “Like It” appears to be among her most popular yet.

“Like It” is an alte tune of great lyrical force that will bring the listener into its sonic orbit over and over. The music video of the song won the 3 Music Awards in the Video of the Year Category in 2020.
