Andile Lungisa Biography

Andile Lungisa is a controversial South African politician and member of the ruling African National Congress. Born in Tsomo, his interest in and involvement with politics dates back to when he was pretty young. He was a member of the South African Students Congress and was elected to represent Grahamstown and Port Elizabeth region

2001 was a very important year for him as he was elected deputy chairperson of the ANC for the Bay region.  in the intervening years, he held several other equally important positions, including President of the Pan-African Youth Union and Member of the mayoral committee (MMC) for the Department of Infrastructure and Engineering at the Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan Municipality.

Andile Lugisa is currently 42 years. He will be 43 in December and he’s so looking forward to that moment.

Andile Lungisa is happily married to Ursula Sali. Interestingly, his wife was among the accused in the corruption case against him when he headed the NYDA. Andile Lungisa is one to publicly celebrate his wife.

Many aspects of Andile Lungisa’s life are shrouded in mystery despite his being a public figure. His education is one of them. However, he is known to have attended a secondary school and was also a member of the South African Students Congress (SASCO) during the same period.

How much Andile LKungisa earns is something he would rather keep close to his chest. while the exact figure ins;t known, it must be something that he is okay with. Otherwise, he probably wouldn’t be in the position.

Details of Andile Lungisa’s qualifications are just not out there. However, he once claimed to be an engineer. There is no evidence to back up or refute the claim.

Andile Lungisa had a stint as head of the Natiuonal Youth Development ASuthory (NYDA). His journey at the agency wasn’t without controversy and allegations of graft. Lungisa, his wife Ursula Sali, Thabo Shogolo, and Xolisile Guquza are accused of accepting and sharing among themselves the R2.5 million paid by the arts and culture department for the Day concert.

He insists on his innocence, though. In fact, back in December last year, he noted that instead of spending his “hard-earned” funds for a splendid Christmas for his children, he had had to spend the funds on attorney fees for “trumped up charges.”

It’s unclear exactly how many children the former ANC youth representative has. He has not made things easy for tweeps because he formerly gave a hefty list that showed about 12 children – all named after famous figures. in other tweets he had also shared pictures of children not on that list.

there is a son named OliverNelson-Linam Lungisa and there is another named Gupta. Gupta is currently an infamous name in South Africa, thanks to the corruption among the brothers who bear that name. They are being investigated by the State Capture Commission.

House & Cars

Among many of Africa’s politicians, a car is often a status symbol, and many politicians go out of their way to acquire some of the most expensive cars money can buy.

It’s unclear exactly how many cars Andile Lungisa owns. However, he was known to possess a R1.2 million luxury Mercedes-Benz AMG. The car was involved in a crash and was written off. It’s unclear if he owns other cars, and how many.

It’d currently unclear where Andile Lungisa resides in and the type of house. Years ago, however, he was trying to buy a R1.8 million mansion when he was arrested for fraud. He was eventually tossed into the slammer in 2020 but remained defiant. He didn’t spend long there, though, as he was granted parole.
