Bathabile Dlamini Biography:
Bathabile Dlamini is a South African politician and former of social development. Her interest in politics dated from when she was much younger and she was interested enough to pursue that interest and remain committed.
She was born in Nquthu and grew up in Nkandla, Matshensikazi. 1983 was a particularly symbolic year in her political career as she became one of the founding members of the Imbali Youth Organisation
Two years later, in 1985, she became a member of the South African National Students Congress. In 1989, exactly four years after joining the congress, she graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Zulu.
In 1991, with apartheid nearing its end, she found herself as part of the structure building the African National Congress Women’s League (ANCWL). In the intervening years, through the abolition of apartheid and the first multiparty elections, she had held several key positions in government and parliament, including that of minister.
Her desire to contest an NEC position is currently being threatened by her past conviction for corruption.
Dlamini was born in 1962, which makes her 60 years at the time of writing. She celebrated her birthday in late November in what has been described as a very lavish ceremony, attended by politicians and top government officials.
The birthday bash elicited criticisms online, with some tweeps asking if she wasn’t the same person who told the court during her perjury trial that she didn’t have any money.

A subject of great interest about the former minister is who her husband might be. She wouldn’t dwell on the subject, but the word out there is that she isn’t married but has two children from previous relationships.
It’s unclear if she had the children when married or was never married but just had the kids. Either way, she is okay with her life and how it has turned out.
The net worth of famous figures, especially politicians, is of great interest to members of the public. The fomer minister Bathabile Dlamini’s case is no diferent. Only, you would never find her bawling figures about her net worth.
In that case, the public has been doing the talking – mostly guesswork based on her assets. She’s said to have a net worth of about $1 million.
Ministers earn up to six figures in South Africa. The same might not be said of a former minister. Although she might still be a member of the ruling party. In that sense, it is unclear how much Bathabile Dlamini currently earns. It’s probably something she is okay with.
The former minister lives in an apartment in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, which has been described as lavish by some tweeps. Given her power and influence, the residence shouldn’t be surprising, perhaps.
Bathabile Dlamini earned a bachelor’s qualification years ago. It’s unclear if she has an advanced degree, as no records are available to prove that. But then, she was also part of the collective formed to build the African National Congress Women’s League (ANCWL) structures in Kwa-Zulu Natal.
She might not be the most educated out there, but the former minister of social development is as expressive as they come. She is a graduate of the University of Zululand – Richards Bay Campus, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in social studies.
The former minister has not made things easy for those who might want to reach out to her. It’s unclear if she is on Twitter, as none of the accounts in her name are verified. And they are not particularly active either.
The same might be said of the Instagram account in her name – not verified, not active, and not looking legit.
