Big Brother Mzansi 2022 S3: Who Is Acacia

Find out everything you should know about Big Brother Mzansi 2022 S3 housemate, Acacia. This includes her name, her age, place of birth, occupation, hobbies and so much more.

Making it into the Big Brother house is something people fight for all over the world. On January 23, 2022, the third season of the Big Brother Mzansi show made its premiere to the delight of the viewers. The show had been on hiatus for a couple of years. This time, it promises to be better than what it used to be.

First-time host, Mzansi actor, and presenter, Lawrence Maleka got a well-deserved thumbs up from the viewers for how well he executed his duties and expertly chatted with the housemates. One after another, 18 hopeful housemates were introduced to the viewers, and they all made first impressions before making their way into the house.

Each of the housemates spoke about their strategies in the house, and what they would do to win the prize. Did we mention, R2 million, the equivalent of Nigeria’s N54 million is what the housemates are all competing for.

Among the 18 housemates was the lovely Acacia who stole hearts before she made her way into the house. Now, here’s everything you should know about her.

Acacia’s real name is Thando Mati. She is  30-years-old and hails from Soweto. She also describes herself as a family-oriented model. While talking about herself, she used the words “fun”, “loving”, “free spirit”, and “risk-taker”. Acacia also says she’s a foodie who would love to open her restaurant someday. According to her, the restaurant would serve only the type of food she likes. Now, that’s something. In her opinion, food embodies some of the things she loves most “community and togetherness”.

Acacia also describes herself as a homebody but she also loves gallery hopping and going to festivals. She is also an avid TV series watcher and a huge fan of The Wife. She said about it “I love TV, and I’m sad I’ll miss The Wife while I’m in the House.” She also says people confide in her a lot because she’s a good listener. Be say can also be “cheeky”.

Acacia hopes that being in the house would make her relatable because “at the end of the day, we are an incorporation of different environments.” That, she says is her strategy, “to be relatable”. “I don’t want to be seen as a slay queen – I have my days where I look bougie and I’ve got my days where I look like I’m going to the corner shop.” She also says she wants “the girl from Zulu to relate to me, and I want the girl in Sandton to relate to me.”
