Biography

Ace Van Harred professionally called DJ Ace SA is a South African House/Hip Hop Disc Jockey and record producer, and CEO of Team No Sleep.

He has been a resident DJ on several radio shows and has also created various mixes that are currently played on radio. He is known for a number of projects including “Peace of Mind” and for creating several other celebratory and activist musical projects.

Family & Beginnings

Born Ace Van Harred in Benoni, Gauteng, South Africa, DJ Ace SA grew up with a passion for music which inspired him to pursue a career as a DJ and a record producer.

He started out as a House/Hip Hop resident DJ and further pushed his career by releasing music and mixes. He has shared the stage with various notable names including Black Coffee, DJ Fresh, Oskido, Mahoota & Vetkuk, and more.

He currently resides in Pretoria (Gauteng).

Education

DJ Ace SA studied Music Production/Mixing & Mastering Engineering at the Institute of Music in Boston College Pretoria.

Musical Milestones

DJ Ace SA began his career as a resident DJ.

In 2014/15, DJ Ace became the House/Hip Hop resident DJ for Capricorn FM and played every Saturday and Sunday on the Midnight Groove Show (12AM – 3AM). The show was formerly hosted by Itumeleng Banda.

In 2016, he became the resident DJ on the Party Time Show on Thobela FM hosted by Mr KGabo C on Friday Nights from 9PM – 12AM.

In 2018, his mixes began playing on 5FM on the Uncut Mixtape every Friday between 10PM and 1AM. The show is hosted by DJ Loyd.

Currently, his mixes play on the Afternoon Drive Show #Gotetsamosha on Motsweding FM between 3PM to 6PM. The show is hosted by Ltk.
