Tumelo Monyani, popularly called Mr JazziQ is well known South African Disc Jockey and music producer. He is one half of the popular South African music duo, JazziDisciples alongside fellow member, Josiah De Disciple. They were well known for releasing hit Amapiano songs including “Zlele”, “Long Lasting”, “The Goodguys” and more. The duo split in the year, 2020 to focus on their solo careers.

Mr JazziQ has since become known as one of the country’s most consistent Amapiano DJs teaming up with several big names in the music industry including Kabza De Small, Major League DJz, Mpura, Lady Du, Reece Madlisa, Busta 929, and more. In Decemeber, 2020, his impact in the music industry earned him alongside several other colleagues, the title “Champion of December” by SA Hip Hop star, Riky Rick.

Mr JazziQ was raised by his grandmother in Alexandria, however, his parents stayed in the north of Johannesburg. He has stated that his biggest music influencers are his father and his uncle. They both hosted several popular musicians at home. JazziQ has also revealed that he was always around the likes of Oskido, Black Coffee, Shimza, Culoe Da Song, and more.
Mr JazziQ DJ and Production Career With Josiah De Disciple
Mr JazziQ first started out as a DJ at the age of 14. He began producing at the age of 16. In 2017, Mr JazziQ and Josiah De Disciple teamed up to form the duo, JazziDisciples. They both originated from Alexandria, and fell in love with music at young ages. The JazziDisciples are known for their tagline “Amapiano is a Lifestyle”. They are also known for a number of hit songs including “Long Lasting” , “Sgubu Se Monati”, and more.
The duo have shared stages with some of South Africa’s biggest names including Black Coffee, Cassper Nyovest and more. They have also opened for American RnB star, Miguel. The duo also performed on some of the biggest Live shows and concerts in South Africa. They parted ways in 2020 after 3 years together.
Before the split, Mr JazziQ’s EP, “0303” was released to high acclaim.
