Vusi Thembekwayo is a South African businessman, venture capitalist, author, and speaker who started early and made it quite early.
Born in Benoni to poor parents during the apartheid era, Vusi would smile, recollecting that many dreams were born in the shack he shared with his parents back then.
Forced to discontinue his education for lack of money, Vusi founded his first company, a recruiting agency called Global Professionals South Africa. It was an instant success and the empowerment to set up other companies that ultimately made him one of the most successful young South Africans at the moment.
Born in March 1985, he’s currently 36 years.
If you’re looking forward to dating Vusi Thembekwayo, you’re not in luck. The businessman has been married since 2009. And is he in love with the woman he calls his wife!
Palesa Thembekwayo married Vusi in a glamorous ceremony, and she’s so proud of the man she calls her husband. In fact, to her, he’s the most incredible human being. The couple is blessed with three children: two sons and a daughter.
Although not the richest bloke in South Africa, Vusi Thembekwayo is counted as the richest young man in South Africa. Given how early he started, how hard he had worked, and how committed he is to all his projects, his financial success isn’t surprising.
Although he wouldn’t be caught dead discussing his net worth, conservative estimates put his net worth at $30 million.
It has been said that education is key. And yes, Vusi Thembekwayo subscribes to the same view. He is an author and has been using his books to educate those who would read.
His books detail the lessons he has learned in life and business and should make a fine addition to the reading list of any entrepreneur out there. Among his titles is Vusi: Success & Life Lessons From A Black Dragon and The Magna Carta of Exponentiality.
Released in 2009, Vusi: Success & Life Lessons From A Black Dragon has been described as one of his most insightful books yet.
For one who loves to read and who delights in not only inspiring others but seeing them grow, Vusi has got some pretty insightful quotes, mostly on business, life, dreams.
For those who lack initiative and think they don’t have the time to accomplish what they want, Vusi would shake his head and offer that they actually have time (every human on earth has the same 24 hours). All they need to do to stop dithering is to prioritize.
You can check out some of his quotes below.
Cars have often been described as pointers to how much a person is worth. While we do not subscribe to the same view – given that people can easily fake things – we know for sure that cars, expensive and fancy rides, are among the vices of the rich.
Vusi Thembekwayo loves cars and has never hidden hat love. In fact, he’s a big fan of the exotic. Read Aston Martin. Read Lamborghini. Read…
In a recent interview, Vusi admitted he is actually a collector, and among his favourite rides are Lamborghini and Aston Martin. But, according to him, he neither drinks nor smokes but permits himself the vice of not only owning exotic cars but zipping in them through town. And oh, he treats his exotic rides like princesses!
A man of Vusi Thembekwayo’s wealth should have one of the finest cribs in town, right? Well, the entrepreneur and businessman have actually got a plush place he calls home and shares with his wife and three kids.
Vusi Thembekwayo has his hands in several piles, and they’re filling his coffers with gold. A venture capitalist, he is the brains behind My Growth Fund Venture Capital, which recently entered into a partnership with the Creative Zone in the United Arab Emirates.
He also serves as chairman of Motiv8 Advisory & Motiv8 Capital. Watermark Capital Partners, a private equity firm, is another business in which South African has a stake. His global speaking business is yet another.
Education & Qualifications
Vusi Thembekwayo might not be the most educated out there, but he’s easily one of the most accomplished. As a kid, he read by the light of a candle. After his primary and secondary education, he had gained admission into the university but dropped out in his first year for lack of funds.
Out of school and unable to secure funds, he started public speaking and, at the same time, launched a recruitment agency. He would return to Wits later, completing a program in advanced management.
