Biography

Andile Sibabalwe professionally called Zoocci Coke Dope is a South African Hip Hop artist and producer. He first achieved recognition following the release of “Freedom Or Fame” by Blaklez which was produced by him.

The release of his debut EP, Morning Star opened him up to wider recognition. He is presently regarded as one of the major pioneers of new age Hip Hop and Trap music in South Africa. He has since released music with some of SA’s biggest Hip Hop artists including Stogie T, A-Reece, Flame and more.

Family & Beginnings

Zoocci Coke Dope has not said much about his family. He has stated that he grew up in the Northside of Pretoria, South Africa and was raised by his mother. He has also revealed that he has a sister.

Zoocci Coke Dope’s father wasn’t present while he was growing. He once stated that he wasn’t on speaking terms with him before he died. He was 16 at the time.

Zoocci Coke Dope began making beats at the age of 11. He credits American rapper, Lil Wayne as the reason why he started making music. After dropping out of school to focus on making music, he began squatting with friends and sleeping over at parties.

He began producing songs for upcoming artists, and singing the hooks on the songs. Later on, he stopped adding vocals and focused on making beats. He got his first big after producing Blaklez’s “Freedom Or Fame” which lead to him signing with Vth Season in 2017. However, he caught more attention sending out beats with hooks.

Education

Although Zoocci Coke Dope has never said much about his education, and the places he studied at, he has revealed that he studied Sound Engineering and dropped out after a year to focus on making music.

Musical Milestones

Zoocci Coke Dope first achieved recognition as the producer of Blaklez’s “Freedom Or Fame”. He sang the hook on Big Star Johnson’s single “Just to Flex” which was the theme song for the second season of the popular rap show The Hustle. 

The release of Zoocci Coke Dope’s first EP Morning Star introduced him to the music industry as a certified Hip Hop artist and producer. The EP features contributions from Stogie T, Kid X, A-Reece and Ginger Trill.

In 2019, he released his debut album, Anxiety. It features contributions from Priddy Ugly, Nasty C, YoungstaCPT, Die Mondez, Flame, Kwesi Arthur and more.

Zoocci Coke Dope does not write his music but goes with what he feels.
