AKA’s Father Launching Limited-Edition Tribute T-Shirt In Slain Rapper’s Honour

Wherever he is right now, if he could see what is going on in the material plane, AKA would certainly be pleased to know that his family is doing everything p[ossible to key his memory alive, the most recent being a tribute t-shirt by his father Tony D. Forbes.

AKA was shot dead at point-blank range on February 10 soon after stepping out of Wish restaurant on Florida Road in Durban, bloodily ending a brilliant music career spanning a decade. It was a jarring moment for South Africa, which was still grappling with the killing of another famous musician, DJ Sumbody.

Mzansi still mourns. Mr Tony Forbes still mourns his son. It has been recollection after recollection for Tont Forbes and he is doing everything within his power to keep his son’s memory alive. In a new move that has got the Megacy (as AKA’s fans are collectively known) excited, Tony shared that he is releasing a limited-edition tribute garment in AKA’s memory.

He made the announcement on Instagram while also noting that every stitch and design pays tribute to his slain son. Each shirt costs around R1,500. You can check out his post below.
