Bob Mabena has just pulled off one of the biggest coups in amapiano history with his “iMigundatjani” song, which features some of the biggest names in the genre, including Sbali, Kabza De Small, DJ Maphorisa, Tyler ICU & Mas Musiq.
Call this a local meeting of champions, and you would have hit the nail on the head – as the cliché goes. But, to their credits, they actually lived up to their epaulettes on this song.
“iMigundatjani” is taken from the lead singer’s recently released “Nongoloza 3.0” album, which has several other fine figures in South African music as guests. “iMigundatjani” is easily one of the faves in that compilation.
With this song, Bob Mabena made a couple of statements: one is that he can easily get some of the biggest names in the game to jump on his numbers, and he can spit his bars side by side with them without feeling overwhelmed.
