South Africa’s amapiano DJ and producer De Mthuda treats fans to a new song titled “Sbalabala.”
This song will probably surprise many of his fans out there who were looking forward to a new compilation, as announced by the muso himself. In case you missed it. Kabza De Small’s adopted title for his new album, “I Am The King Of Amapiano,” had annoyed De Mthuda, who is himself doing well in the field of amapiano.
While De Mthuda doesn’t claim to be the king of the genre, he insists there is no king actually, and Kabza De Small cannot appropriate the title. To drive home his point, he had shared the cover art of a new compilation titled “There’s No King,” meaning the amapiano crown is on no one’s head yet.
Well, instead of that body of work, he’s released the song in review. Is “Sbalabala” one of the tracks in the imminent compilation? We cannot tell. But we are watching events keenly. We will surely bring you updates whenever that body of work drops.
