South African disc jockey and producer De Mthuda croons “Sofia” alongside pals and associates Ntokzin and Kwiish SA. It’s a reunion of sorts for all three, who have collaborated previously.
The lead artiste De Mthuda is one man who knows his worth in the world of amapiano music in South Africa. Although he wouldn’t declare himself king of the genre. He’s averse to anyone appropriating that title. As far as he’s concerned, “There’s no King.”
While many might laugh at his verdict, it is apparent De Mthuda is a potent voice in the world of amapiano. He’s done several numbers with pal Ntokzin. In fact, they have been so consistent as collaborators that some peeps began wondering if they’re now a band.
They’re not. At any rate, the duo, alongside Kwiish SA, serves a number worth hearing for the amapiano crowd out there. Not their finest, of course, but a number worth vibing with anyway. Wouldn’t you rather join us as we take a “Sofia” break?
