Still basking on the success of his previously released album and Ke Star remix which featured Nigerian op start Davido, Focalistic is back with yet another impressive project and is titled President Ya Straata. The 7-track EP features Mellow & Sleazy, DJ Maphorisa, Busta 929, Caltonic SA, Felo Le Tee and Myztro.
16 Days No Sleep is the second track on the album after Barcardi Ke Religion which Focalistic has been teasing on his Instagram pages for weeks. 16 Days No Sleep is an interpretation of how long the artists have been away from home while he joined other South African artists to promote the amapiano movement outside South Africa.
amapiano is currently the top sound in South Africa and it is gradually making it’s way to the world stage, but it’s been years coming with efforts from some of the pioneers. Focalistic being one of the first to switch from hip-hop to amapiano is now making the most of it.
With contributions from DJ Maphorisa, Mellow and Sleazy, 16 Days No Sleep is set to take Focalistic to a new height as fans are already testifying to the artistic input on the track. Focalistic makes it clear he remains a force that can’t be pushed aside.
