Aidin Caye shares a remix of “SAD,” his collaborative tune with Jethro Tait. The track in review, then, is “SAD (Aidin Caye Remix).”
Apparently the song has two versions, the one mentioned earlier and an extended version. Both might be worth your time. At any rate, we found both pop tunes charming enough to merit another listening session.
For one who had popped on our radar only once, with the single “SAD” back in February, Jethro Tait retains his brilliance of old, leading the listener into a world of agreeable sound and poetic energy.
True to its title, “SAD (Aidin Caye Remix)” might make some people sad, as it apparently gives the listener glimpses in difficulties (of the artiste’s life), but then it is impossible not to take away something didactic from the song.
The year may have been tough, but then hope and optimism have got grand gifts for those who would open their eyes, see beyond the present difficulties, and embrace the gifts of hope and optimism. By all means vibe with this song, but refuse to be sad.
