The Piano Kings Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa treat fans to a new jam titled “Abalele,” with fellow South African Ami Faku as the sole guest. It isn’t their first collaborative number but it’s a memorable drop all the same.

The two lead singers were previously worlds apart – DJ Maphorisa in gqom and Kabza De Small in amapiano. But their coming together has led to what is easily the most formidable piano partnership in South Africa.

While groups bicker and split, the Piano Kings drop new music every other week and flex Gucci and Louis Vuitton on the Gram. They’re in a flexing mood yet. Only, here, there are no designers.

What you have is a work of understated piano energy that will take you out of the path of the boring. With this song, really, you’re assured of a good time. Who doesn’t want a good time? Ami Faku is a fine complement here.
