Amapiano music has leaped from an obscure genre into the in-thing in South Africa. And Kelvin Momo might be counted among those who made this possible. The songster’s commitment to the genre is not in doubt. Even though he isn’t seen as a king or one of the kings of the genre, he has remained unfazed and committed to piano music.
“Umoya” is a testament to his commitment yet. Working with Mashudu and Yumbs must have been a pleasure because all three actually did great as a team, spitting their numbers seamlessly and massaging the musical senses of the listener.
