South Africa’s Mafis MusiQ and Black SA premiere “Silver Stones” in collaboration with compatriots Mellow and Sleazy. It’s a meeting of agreeable young voices in South African music, and they did well together.
The two lead singers, Mafis MusiQ and Black SA, are not particularly regular on our orbit, but there’s no denying the force of their delivery on this song. They were mutually commentary.
In contrast to the two lead musos, the guest artists, Mellow and Sleazy, are pretty regular here. Actually, they’re a young group and among the most visible at the moment.
Known for their assured flow, the pair were just as cool crooning their bars alongside their associates. The result is something to vibe to.
As a title, “Silver Stones” brings a lot to mind, hinting at something intriguing and brilliant. And given the imagery that comes to mind with that title, it would have been a big fail if the lyrics didn’t snap attention.
Well, we might say you’re safe with this number, as the lyrics accentuate the song’s title. The result is a number to vibe with and share as well. Well, left to us, we would say here is a number to start a new week with, without fear of getting bored halfway.
