The wait is over for fans of popular Venda singer Makhadzi. She has just released her intensely anticipated album, “African Queen 2.0,” which you can stream here on UbeToo.
A robust belief in oneself and the daily affirmation of the same are nothing foreign to Makhadzi. On the contrary, that’s her life, and she relishes doing just that.
She affirms her creative powers once again with the release of a new album. This body of work contains exactly 22 tracks and features some key names in South African music, including her lover, Master KG. Other co-opted artists include Casswell P, Viirgo, Lowsheen, Blaq Diamond, Ntokzin, and Penny Penny.
The project begins with “Salungano (Intro)” and ends with an “Outro.” Between those are songs like “No Mbaisa,” “Khombo,” “Nakupenda,” “Magear,” “Mathora,” and “Milandi Bhe,” to mention a few.
“African Queen 2.0,” besides being a follow-up to an album of a similar title, is a promise made and fulfilled by the Venda singer, who had released the cover art on Instagram and bid fans watch out for the project.
The wait is over now, and one might say it wasn’t a waste after all. Makhadzi showed in her latest compilation that she has earned her crown.
