The coming together of these artistes, who are all of South African stock, was at the instance of Red Bull Music. This organization has been in the vanguard of music promotion in South Africa, bringing exciting voices to the screen.
Who, for instance, can forget when they partnered with the Zulu Man with Some Power, Nasty C, to lift artistes from the dust of obscurity? The partnership, which trended with the hashtag #LiftAsYouRise, gave unknown artistes a chance to collaborate with established ones. Taiga Maine is one of the initiative’s main discoveries.
