It’s been a while but we finally get to lay our hands on new music from serial collaborators Mshayi and Mr Thela, titled “Vuka Mawulele.”
If you’re familiar with these two artistes, you probably already know they are simply [drop a flame emoji here] when they collaborate. And yes, in their track in review, they disperse heat waves.
Mshayi and Mr Thela are among the few who have refused to renounce their loyalty to gqom amid the season of losses for the genre (and other genres). Amapiano is the rave, arrogantly snatching artistes from other genres, but these two friends are obdurate in their dedication to gqom.
Although not the finest yet from the two friends yet, “Vuka Mawulele” is still an exciting drop and one that will warm the gqom community out there. And if gqom is your thing, you should know at once that this song should be among the stuff to listen to this weekend and perhaps beyond.
