Mzwakhe Mbuli comes through with a new “Corona Virus Covid 19” song.
Everyone in the country who heard that Mzwakhe Mbuli was dropping a new song to create awareness for the spread of the Coronavirus was impressed by it. However, it ended up causing a lot of problems as certain artists felt that Mzwakhe was favoured more than others and allegedly given a “contract” to deliver a Coronavirus awareness song.
According to the Northwest Department of Health, they were overwhelmed by calls from artists concerning it. However, they set the record straight saying the Northwest MEC for Health only challenged Mazwakhe to come up with a poem against the Coronavirus.
No monetary reward was brought up as he still owns the entire rights for the song and the Department has no hand in it. He was merely advised to deliver a message of a united front, awareness and precautionary measures to take against the spread of the virus which he obviously did.
