A key to how well one might have lived and the impact one might have made is usually apparent at death. For Mpura, Killer Kau, Khanya Hadebe, Thando TD, and Thando TOT, recently dead from a car accident, the love has been massive.
These dead friends and associates have just been honored by Qwesta Kufet, EeQue, BoiBizza, and Sanzalo with a new song titled “Piano Kontinua (Peace Magnet),” which you can stream here on UbeToo.
It appears to be a season of memorial for the dead, as other artists have also either memorialized Mpura, Killer Kau, Khanya Hadebe, Thando TD, and Thando TOT in songs or commended them in shows.
The proliferation of shows in their honor has not gone down well with DJ Maphorisa, one of the Piano Kings, who loudly urged artists to respect the memory of the departed and not turn their deaths into magendo or business.
Anyway, we doubt Lawd Porry would fault “Piano Kontinua (Peace Magnet),” which Qwesta Kufet and co have put together. It’s a song of great emotional appeal and one just about anyone who has lived will appreciate.
