Rouge – One By One (1BY1) ft. AKA

The wait is finally over as Rouge unleashes the much anticipated AKA collaboration titled One By One (1BY1). Rouse announced the collaboration earlier this week and the whole Mzansi has been on a lookout for the unexpected collaboration.

Deko Barbara-Jessica Wedi, widely known as Rouge, is a rapper, TV presenter and author. Her debut album titled “The New Era Sessions” was released with a short film and  it earned the singer a South African Film and Television Award for Best Micro Budget Film.

AKA has always gushed about Rouge, he feels she is very talented and can battle with some of the male counterparts, Rouge who also feels the same about the “Supamega” rapper took to her twitter page to make the announcement on the 16th of February 2020, that she will indeed be dropping a record with AKA.  She wrote:

It’s About that time I set the pace for 2020 😎, @akaworldwide and I finally gave y’all what you asked for 😎. He capping that I can’t take him though 😂#OnebyOne

On February 21st, 2020 she Rouge Unveiled the official artwork for the song and announced the released date which is tomorrow the 28th, but it seems the release is coming earlier than expected as the song just made it to the net today 27th, just a day before the announced release date. According to Rouge, the song isn’t a “Rappy” song. On the first listen to the song you can instantly feel the afro-pop influence, but that does not mean the rappers did not flex their lyrical prowess.

Produced by Tweezy, One By One (1BY1) is one of the biggest songs released so far this year and it promises to give other hip-hop artists a run for their money. Recall that AKA shared on Twitter that he had a ton of dope songs to drop this year, and challenged other artistes to a music war? Well, he has started the musical war and what better way to start a way than going with an equally talented warrior.
