We’re all for artistes pulling off musical coups with their songs – you might say projects – now and then. So we’re immensely pleased to say Siboniso Shozi has done just that with his “Ntombi Zakudala” song featuring GoldMax, TMan & Drega.
Siboniso Shozi made fine choices in GoldMax, TMan & Drega, three musos who bring their mastery of disparate genres into one agreeable number you should be pleased to check out.
GoldMax is formerly of the two-man gqom band Distruction Boyz. The Boyz have since disbanded, each one pursuing solo career. Following the split Goldmax has released a body of work entitled “Music Saved My Life.” His former band mate Que is gearing to do the same.
A solo artiste, TMan is one fine voice in South African music that you wouldn’t mind hearing over and over again. The same might be said of Drega, who has worked with some of the most engaging voices in South African music
“Ntombi Zakudala” might not be the song of the hour, but it’s worth possessing.
