Thulasizwe returns to UbeToo with a message of hope embedded in a song titled “Ithemba,” featuring his pal and associate DJ SK. Having the two musos on the same number is akin to listening to good poetry all day. Not bad.
The lead singer hasn’t popped much into our orbit of recent. Still, with his latest bop, he shows that he still has what it takes to have our attention – a song that will speak to a disparate audience out there.
“Ithemba” is exciting on many levels. But its charms rest most on its ability to charm just about any believer in the future, anyone with faith for something better than what the present offers. Who doesn’t want that?
