Songs come and go, some of them staying in consciousness for a long time. Well, South African boy band Ubuntu Brothers linked up with Mbali Gordon for a song titled “Izinyembezi,” which you can stream here on UbeToo, South Africa’s premier music and entertainment hub.
Before the trio linked for the song, they had shared the cover art on Instagram and bid fans look out for it on Friday. They kept to that promise, and we had the jam. In retrospect, the wait was worth it. This much should be apparent presently.
“Izinyembezi” is a deeply moving number that will resonate with many listeners out there. It has the power to either massage or ignite the emotions of the listener. Not all songs are able to do that.
