Nigerian “Superstar” Wizkid has just released another potential worldwide hit banger titled Smile, he did this to celebrate his birthday yesterday as he turns 30 years of age yesterday the 16th of July, 2020.
Smile featuring Grammy award winning singer H.E.R. is coming just right after Wizkid recent collaboration with Sarz on “Hold Me” Yung El on “Eve Bounce” and DJ Tunez on “Gbese 2.0”. Before his recent collaboration, Wizkid had joined forces with Kabza De Small on Sponono off the recently released chart-topping album, “I Am The King Of Amapiano: Sweat & Dust“. Sponono also features Burna Boy, Cassper Nyovest and Madumane.
His solo singles released this year So far is Electric which has caused major buzz in Nigeria and made it to top of some major music charts worldwide, Wizkid was not able to repeat his previous success with Electric but Smile sounds like that banger of the year, especially with H.E.R appearance.
Smile is possibly one of the songs off Wizkid’s upcoming “Made In Lagos” album which may be released anytime from now. H.E.R. blesses the new song with her soul soothing vocals and melodious vibe while Wizkid adds his famous Afrobeats touch which in the end gives the song an Afro-Soul-Reggae vibe. On the song, Wizkid and H.E.R. sings about doing the most for the ones that means much to you.
“Made In Lagos” album will be a follow up on Wizkid’s collaborative album Soundman Vol. 1 EP, which was released late last year and enlisted the likes of Chronixx, DJ Tunez and more talented acts.
