Zandimaz has appropriated for herself many offices, including that of a lawyer, chartered secretary, influencer, DJ, and songwriter… and we’re still counting!
Although not her first song, “Maphupho” is easily one of her memorable numbers to date. There’s so much soul in the song that it’s pretty hard not to get somehow attached to it one way or the other.
Having Zandimaz and Zee Nxumalo on the same song is like the mystical combination of pear and corn. Ideal. Something to have.
Well, it’ll cost nothing to savour what the air has just released. This lyrical offering is satisfying on many levels and a great reason to want to see the two singers collaborate on another song. Until then, “Maphupho” should be the anthem for the day. Come on!
