In a sense, it is promise made and promise fulfilled for Ami Faku, who had teased the song and asked fans to look forward to it. At the same time, she had explained the meaning of the song’s title.
Translated from the Zulu, “Lala Ngoxolo” loosely means “rest in peace.” The song acknowledges transience of life and the grief many are facing as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
Ami Faku, one of the artistes signed to Vth Season, and Emtee, who runs his own record label after a tumultuous time at Ambitiouz Entertainment, make fine musical partners. Listening to them together is just splendid.
