Big Xhosa is getting and bigger in South Africa’s music orbit. He’s got a new song to consolidate his dreams of musical growth. “IKuku Endala” is the controversial rapper’s latest song, with iFani as the sole guest.
The two artistes have never collaborated before. Even their debut collaboration is a product of chance, not seriously planning. With Big Xhosa’s name flying around town thanks to him dissing established rappers in his debut “Ninyile” song, iFani had taken notice.
In a post to social media, iFani had showered benediction on the much younger Big Xhosa, wishing him the fame and celebrity status he (iFani) found and lost, as well as wishing him success wooing the lady he has a crush on.
Big Xhosa had apparently seen iFani’s encouraging post and reached out to him for a collaboration. The result is the song in review. “IKuku Endala” might not bear the thunder of Big Xhosa’s “Ninyile” song, it is yet a number that will illuminate South Africa’s hip hop orbit and force many to still look in Big Xhosa’s direction.
