Busta 929 is the man of the hour thanks to a recently released body of work dubbed “Undisputed Vol. 3” album from which the song “Enkwarini” is taken. The number features his associate Lolo.
Amapiano is the in-thing in South Africa, and Busta 929 happens to be among those in the vanguard of that genre. He might not be the most visible in the yanos orbit, but the songster can hold his own.
This much should be obvious from his previous projects, the recently released one, as well as the song in review.
The very sound of “Enkwarini” brings a lot to mind, notably a song by Manqonqo, featuring Dason. But that’s by the way.
Why Busta 929 elected to work with Lolo cannot e determined, but it’s clear from the outset that the two musicians are good together. It’s a pleasure listening to them spitting their bars together.
Could this be a prelude to a long collaborative run? We can’t tell, but it would be exciting to see them link up again.
