SA singer-songwriter Carli J Myers has hit #1 with her single Just Doing Me and, due to popular demand, released a remix.
Just Doing Me reached #1 on the Algoa fm Top 30 this past month. Myers has in tandem with the chart success released the remix of Just Doing Me to radio and streaming. The remix is produced by EDM sensation, Max Hurrell.
“I owe this success to my fans, and to the amazing music compilers at radio,” says Carli. “The original mix has been playlisted on over a dozen stations since we released it in November. Now, with the remix, we have a sound even better for the gorgeous summer here in SA.”
She explains the meaning behind the song: “It’s about catching the adventures of life and falling into those colourful moments which only really come around once.” As a qualified and practicing Industrial Psychologist, Carli has written lyrics for it which are also in line with concepts like mindfulness.
Her previous chart hits include: ‘Just Saying’ with Mathew Gold and ‘Crazy’.
