Cassper Nyovest has just released the music video of his song “BongiNkosi,” featuring Kwaito legend Zola 7.
“BongiNkosi” was one of the songs Cassper Nyovest released from his “Any Minute Now (AMN)” album before letting fans have the full project.
At the time the song was released, a little debate broke out among Cassper Nyovest’s fans about what genre the song is. Some of his fans think it a gospel song; others think it pretty close to that description but not exactly it; and yet others could not be bothered what genre it is.
Fans were unanimous, though – and right, too – that there is a spiritual angle to the song. The song readily speaks to a Christian spirit and just about anyone conversant with the role of the spiritual in the physical.
The music video, which premiered on Cassper Nyovest’s YouTube channel yesterday 8 October 2020, effectively brings the song to life. It has a formal setting, with both artistes in the song on matching formal clothes.
