Nigerian songster Davido treated the world to a compilation titled “A Good Time” recently, from which his mellifluent “Jowo” song is taken.
The song is one of the first to get a music video. The music video premiered December 4 last and has been streamed over 10 million times – a patent indication of his appeal as a singer and his online following.
The music video, which plays or exactly, two minutes and fifty-six seconds, was directed by Dammy Twitch. “Jowo” is not the finest tune from Davido’s latest compilation. But it is yet a work to check out.
The music video bears great sonic as well as visual energy. It’s something you should be pleased to watch, whether you’re alone or in the company of pals.
Davido is a standout figure in Nigeria’s music plane and one whose success rubs off beautifully on his associates. Known for his generosity, the songster was equally generous in his “Jowo” refrain. The result? The song may as wall pass for an anthem. You wouldn’t regret deciding to check it out.
