2020 was one year that took the world unawares. Many tried to find their footing while most thrived even in the pandemic. You could say that Nigerian singer & producer, Omah Lay soared during that time.
He dropped his debut EP “Get Layd” and it fast became a massive success in Nigeria. It quickly claimed the Nigerian airwaves and broke through several other borders. The EP has since garnered hundreds of millions of streams across all streaming platforms. The last time that happened was when Rema hit the scene in 2019.
Singles off Omah Lay’s debut EP including “Lo Lo”, “Bad Influence”, “Ye Ye Ye”, & “Damn” took over the airwaves across Africa. In November 20th, 2020, he announced the release of his second EP “What Have We Done”. It is inspired by his new found fame, and the fact that his life isn’t personal anymore.
